Island Lake Ice Fishing results

Island Lake, Moose Lake area, was the site of the first Northland Ice Fishing League. We fished two person teams for panfish only. We had 8 people/4 teams fish with us. 5 crappie limit, 5 bluegill/sunfish limit.

First place went to Al Ansell and Doug Pirila with 5 blues and 5 crappies for 7.4 pounds. Lots of fish were caught and it was fun.

We had a great time and are sure this will grow a bit. A few hours on a weekend and it's a great time to hang out with others and learn a little more about ice fishing.

This would be a great event to bring kids with.
